Your Brazil mobile phone number is printed on the reverse side of your SIM card packaging and begins *(21).
To activate your service:
* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your international mobile phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your mobile phone.
^ Your phone will prompt you for a 4 digit PIN code which is printed on a separate card located in the wallet containing your SIM card. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.
How to make a call
To make an international call from your Brazil mobile phone dial 0041 followed by the country code (1 for the US), area code and phone number.
How family and friends call you
Family and friends need to dial the international prefix, followed by the country code 55 and your mobile phone number.
For example, when calling from the United States, callers need to dial 011 55 and then your mobile phone number.
To add credit to your Brazil SIM card, you will need to purchase recharge vouchers, also called Reload codes. You will find these vouchers at local convenience stores, TIM shops and authorized dealers in Brazil. They are available in 6 denominations: R5, R15, R25, R35, R50 and R100.
To recharge your account:

Customer service for your Brazil SIM card is available 24/7 by dialing *144 from your mobile phone.
Every time you recharge your account, the validity of your SIM card will be extended for 4 months.
If you do not recharge your account within 4 months, your mobile phone number will be partially blocked and you will only be able to receive incoming calls for another month.
If you do not recharge your account after 5 months, your SIM card and phone number will be recycled and any remaining credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card.
